It all started in the 1980s with two entirely different products; air powered grease guns and titanium tooth crowns. From these concepts, the company founder Morgan Andersson developed a close partnership with SKF, Svenska Kullagerfabriken (Swedish ball bearing factory), and later with Nobel Biocare. The partnership with dentist Matts Andersson involving the manufacture of titanium tooth crowns was equally as important.
The small company in the little town of Häggenås, thirty kilometres from Östersund, had now taken the first steps along the path to high-tech production of all-inclusive system deliveries. In 1984 the company changed its name to Jemtab – Jämtlands Utvecklingsbolag AB.
Other products in the initial years included a sowing unit for forest renewal, engraving machines and lathes for manufacturing tooth crowns. Sales increased and more and more people were employed. The company continued to grow and moved its development activities into new premises. In 2000 the premises were totally destroyed by fire, but new, state-of-the-art and larger premises were rebuilt which meant that all business operations could be located under the same roof. At roughly the same time, a generation change was taking place at the company.
Morgan Andersson has wound down his activities and the company is nowadays run by his sons Robert and Stefan.
Jemtab Systems AB is located in Häggenås, Jämtland. Our production is specifically focussed on manufacturing products that contain features linked with high pressure or great precision.
We at Jemtab Systems works with very high pressure and is among the best in the world when it comes to developing and manufacturing pumps that meet these conditions. In cooperation with Vestas and some other wind power operators, we have developed an equipment to make the service on the turbines more easy. Compared with traditional methods reduce HPI 500 service time and downtime radically.
Jemtab Systems cooperation with SKF has lasted over 30 years. We have together developed and manufactured everything from simple hand pumps to today's more advanced air driven high pressure pumps.
Siemens had a product that was difficult to manufacture and expensive they wanted to develop. We redesigned the product which made the product more production-friendly. The product is now sold all over the world and we manufacture and assemble them on Jemtab Systems and delivers them to Siemens in France.
We have our own development projects as well where we do everything from design and software development to finished consumer product. One of the products is an engraving machine for engraving inside the wedding rings.
